Edgar Figueroa, MD, FACS

Dr. Figueroa, a Board-Certified General Surgeon with over three decades of experience, is proficient in robotics, advanced laparoscopic hernia repair, gallbladder disease, foregut and midgut surgery, and spine access surgery. He has 20 years of experience in complex ventral hernia repairs.

Dr. Figueroa maintains open and transparent communication with patients, treating them with dignity and respect to enhance their quality of life. He completed his residency in general surgery at Ponce Regional Hospital in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and obtained his medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in San Pedro, Dominican Republic. Dr. Figueroa has dedicated over 25 years to serving the community and holds a post graduate degree in surgical leadership from Harvard Medical School.

Currently, he holds leadership positions, including Vice-Chair of the Regional Board of Trustees at Eastern Florida State College, and has served as an assistant professor of surgery and medical director at the University of Florida Health Science Center.
